Seven nations - One command
Worldwide 24/7 operations

Aeromedical cooperation is future-proof

From 08 to 10 February 2023, the medical experts from the seven National Patient Evacuation Coordination Centres met at EATC to address aeromedical evacuation and its challenges. A main subject on the agenda were the new standards for confidential data management and a common agreement on a privacy policy. Moreover, the participants discussed EATC’s proposal to support the national experts with various course formats. On the last day, the MMU* presented the set-up of the medical configuration of the A330 MRTT.

To newly promoted Head AECC, Colonel Dr Borsch, this year’s conference was again a great opportunity to reflect on the past years. He underlined that “we will learn from experiences and adapt to future changes. After the difficult Covid years, we give fresh impetus to our aeromedical evacuation projects, including training and multinational cooperation. AECC** will of course continue to share procedures and foster trust and confidence among all the actors involved in coordinated strategic aeromedical evacuation. My team and I stand ready 24/7 to facilitate the safe evacuation of all patients around the world.”
